NATURAL DISASTERS


  • Hurricanes
    • It is a rapidly rotating storm characterized by a low-pressure center, in which all is clam, strog winds, and a spiral arrangement of storms that produce heavy rain and wind. They form over large bodies of warm water.
  • Tsunamis
    • They are huge waves that form because of a eathquake under the sea. They grow up when they arrieve the coast.
  • Earthquakes
    • They are movements under the surface of the Earth. They are more frequent at the limit of the tectonic plaques.
  • Floods
    • They are produced when water occupes places where it wasn't was. They can be produces by a increase on the level of the sea or a river, by avalanches...
  • Avalanches
    • It is sudden and violent movement downslope of a significant portion of snow.
  • Tornadoes
    • They arehigh speed wind with a part in contact with the Earth. They are quite little and don't last a long time but they cause damage.
  • Blizzards/Snow falls
    • They are huge snow storms caused by very low temperatures.
  • Landslides
    • They are mass movements of the Earth caused by the inestability of a slope.
